Feeding the Troll
Sometimes a work of trollery needs to be acknowledged. Take, for instance, San Diego Union-Tribune film critic David Elliot, who really hated "Return of the King".
We should all pause a moment to be grateful for movie reviewers who take the time to remind us of little-known and little acknowledged gems such as the obscure "Godfather" and the uncelebrated "Lawrence of Arabia." Without dedicated professionals like that, we'd be unaware of the lickspittle Jackson's cave-in to feminists and his uncalled for insertion of a giant spider, which happens nowhere in Tolkien's work. Oh... wait.
On second thought... David, you ignorant slut!

Please don't blame David Elliot for his ignorance. Blame the stupid editors of the San Diego Union Tribune from giving this clown a job. This guy is so off base, that I (and many others) don't even read the movie section anymore. I really don't give a rats ass what this loser thinks. Just so you know he is not discriminating against LOTR, he also gave Braveheart a 2/4 stars!
If I remember correctly, he also gave Pee Wee's bigtop 4 stars! If the movie has any SciFi or fantasy in it, he automatically subracts 2 stars. If it is a foreign film or has male nudity in it, he adds 2 stars! How this guy retains his job is a mystery -- he must have something on somebody high up at UnionTrib.
