NYT: Growing Rowdier, TV Reality Shows Are Attracting Suits
Looks like tv show producers are learning people don't like it when you humiliate them in public:
"Lawsuits against the unscripted entertainment shows known as reality television used to be filed by people who got hurt imitating stunts on shows like 'Jackass' or believed that the rules on shows like 'Survivor' were applied unfairly."Now, media lawyers and insurance executives say a new sort of lawsuit, involving claims of serious physical and emotional injury to the participants themselves, is on the rise."

i think that if a person would copy a stunt they saw on a show like "jackass" when people know that the stunts are either fake or done because they want to get hurt. why woul you copy it?
